Cancellation policy

ORDER CANCELLATION POLICY

This policy outlines the terms and procedures for cancelling an order placed with Eastbourne Quality Meats. Due to the perishable nature of our products and the likelihood of custom cuts and preparation, we enforce a strict cancellation window.

1. Cancellation Window

You may request to cancel your order only if it has not yet begun the processing and preparation stage.

The order cancellation window ends at 11:00 AM NZT on the first scheduled business day of processing.

Time of Order Placement Cancellation Deadline

Monday at 10:00 AM

Monday at 11:00 AM

Monday at 1:00 PM

Tuesday at 11:00 AM (Processing starts Tuesday)

Friday at 3:00 PM

Monday at 11:00 AM (Processing starts Monday)

We require 2 business days for processing. If the cancellation request is received after our team has started custom cutting, preparing, or packing the order, the cancellation will not be accepted.

2. How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, you must contact us immediately via the following method:

  • Email: Send an email to eastbournemeats@gmail.com with the subject line: CANCELLATION REQUEST - Order #[Your Order Number].

Note: Cancellation requests are only confirmed once you receive a direct reply from an Eastbourne Quality Meats staff member confirming the cancellation has been processed.

3. Orders Ineligible for Cancellation

The following orders cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable (except under the terms of our Returns Policy for defects/spoilage):

  1. Orders for which the cancellation request was received after the 11:00 AM processing cut-off.

  2. Orders that have already been marked as "In Preparation," "Awaiting Dispatch," or "Out for Delivery" via our chilled van.

  3. Orders that have already been delivered to your specified address.

4. Refund for Approved Cancellations

If your order is successfully cancelled within the specified window:

  • Refund Method: You will be refunded the full amount of your purchase using the original method of payment.

  • Processing Time: The refund will be processed within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or credit card provider.
